When it came to creating Ripper, we drew inspiration from the coastal surf cultures of SoCal and Oz. Sourcing classic Cascade from the Pacific Northwest and Australian Galaxy hops from…yes…Australia, we made a beer both lovers of frothy peaks and hoppy green buds will be stoked about. At the same time, we stayed true to our San Diego roots by pushing the hop boundaries of this style. While some might think it lingers on an edge far closer to an IPA, with all the dry-hop flavor and aroma, it’s actually right in line with the current-day interpretation of a West Coast pale. Ours just so happens to have an Aussie accent that’s cascading with a juicy amount of grapefruit and passion fruit hoppiness. So veg out or venture out. Either way, rip one open and taste this awesome golden nectar!

Thuis uit een blikje. Redelijk heldere gouden kleur. Vaag wat grapefruit in de geur. Lekkere bittere smaak, droog ook. Neigt zeker naar een ipa.

Smell- weak hops, fruits. Foam- thin, hops, malt, some citrus faint fruits. Head is medium-sized, white color. Appearance- quite simple can with a devil-like figure on it, should I give a bonus. no? Eh.. not this time. Slightly cloudy orange amber color. From- snifter Taste - some fruits, hops, malt, acidic, pine. Quite neutral, medium bitterness drink. Not bad, I would like it more fruity.

Can from Geers, Oostakker. Pours clear dark golden with a stable, small, white head. Aroma of mango, pineapple, grapefruit peel, cheese crackers, pine, pepper, biscuit. Taste has sweetish mango & pineapple in biscuity & cracker-like maltiness, soft spiciness going into bitter grapefruit & pine, before an earthy & resinous finish hits with bitter juicy hops. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Excellent APA with all the desired elements.

Can brewed in Berlin. Slightly unclear medium amber colour, good frothy white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma pale malt, earthy hops, lemon, orange. Taste medium bitter and light sweet, malty, light grapefruit, earthy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry bittersweet aftertaste, orange pith, pine resin, has a kind of coarse feel over it but all in all nice. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Ripper on 24 Jan 2020 at 18:46 - Score: Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 7.5. This isn't exciting really but it's a very decent American style IPA. Lots.of hop, very crisp and fresh, airy with some tropical fruit and a nice dry finish.

Can (#Kaufland's Kraft Korner, gebraut - vielleicht noch - in Berlin): Hazy, golden to deep golden, medium-sized lacy and slowly collapsing white head, moderate bitter-sweet exotic-fruity and hoppy nose, some piney spots detectable; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, both soft and tart; lingering fruity-hoppy finish with a slightly increasing tartness in the aftertaste. Well...Quite an unspectacular brew...

Stone Ripper San Diego Style Pale Ale. Geruch süß und hopfig. Geschmack herb, frisch und fruchtig (Grapefruit). Hintenraus könnte etwas mehr kommen. Trotzdem gut.
