Sample at the brewpub. Hazy golden color with a medium foamy eggshell white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of grapefruit, resiny hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrus and grassy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Pours an amber from a tap, big dank fruity aromas are similar in the mouth, very sweet. Good beer.

Can. A- Citrus, hoppy, buttered corn, subtle onion, pine. A- Light gold color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Pine, bitter, subtle black pepper, lemon balm. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Really unlike most IPA’s I’ve had. Not overly bitter and an unusual taste I can’t place. Perhaps sauteed onions? Pretty tasty but different. Certainly doesn’t taste over 7%. I think I liked this more than my scores justifies.

Nice soft citrus like a orange that’s been tossed around the room a little. Pours hazy golden with great head and lacing. A little pine and tangerine. Nice hops here. Bottle thanks to johnnnnie.

East Coast IPA shared with tderoeck, Ster and Erwin at tderoeck’s place. Very thick, frothy, dense, egg-white head, stable and leaving steady lacing over a hazy orange blonde beer with ochre-ish hue. Aroma of lime blossom, grapefruit peel, limoncello, ripe papaja, granadilla, strawberry, soggy sandwiches, lemon-scented hand soap, green banana. Lively fruitiness in the onset, passionfruit, starfruit and mango, some drier green banana too, medium carbo, slick and slightly soapy mouthfeel. Cereally, lightly bready malt middle supports an aromatic hop character, yielding lovely tropical fruit aromas retronasally (mango, pink grapefruit, lime, passionfruit) but providing only a mild, resinous, softly spicy bitterness allowing for a juicy finish. Another typical New England IPA, hazy and yeasty with as much sweet and tropical hop aroma as possible without the typical long-lasting, tonic water-like bitterness of the average West Coast IPA. Not the single most remarkable example in this substyle I had so far, but certainly very pleasant and enjoyable in all respects.

Bottle from Village Food in Ogunquit. Hazy orange with an off white head and spotty lacing. Fairly complex aroma that mixes peach and tangerine fruitiness with doughy / biscuit malt, some spice notes, ginger, and a little grass. Balanced flavor with the requisite bitterness and a balancing malt sweetness. Drinks clean and easy like something with a lower ABV. There's just a hint of something medicinal here that I have to deduct slightly from my score, but otherwise this is really quite good.

At a tasting, thanks, medium bubbly head, quite clear deepish yellow color, very apealing lemon and mandarine aroma, flavor of tea, herbs and fruits, medium mellow green herbal bitterness. Nice and juicy.
