Creamy, toffee aromas balance the bitterness of Munich malts in our roasted brown lager. Although dark in color, Dunkel is medium in body and finishes dry and clean, resulting in a rich lager that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Can. Toffee malt aroma with notes of nutty malt, cocoa, roasted malt and caramel. Pours deep copper colored with a thin mocha brown head that has good retention and some lacing. Starts with toffee malt, nutty malt and roasted malt flavors. Finishes quite smooth with cocoa and caramel malt flavors. Very nice dunkel.

My can looks a bit different than the one pictured. No cursive, just printing. Light brownish tint and clear in the glass, reminds me of some cream soda I used to drink as a kid. First taste is a little more bitter than a real old country dunkel, and the wife agrees. She's german herself and has a palate for the real thing. Maybe its because the alky level is a little high, and you can feel it. Anywho, I was glad to have a chance at tasting this baby, and I'm not totally disappointed.

Unexpectedly floral and bitter for a dunkel. Modest notes of caramel and cocoa followed by apple and bread. Finishes with a firm bitterness and lingering caramel. Not bad.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a chestnut brown with a finger of white, beige head that lingers. Lovely caramel, chocolate aromas with a mild coffee note underneath as it warms. Palate is very similar...light pepper on the finish. Solid.
