Our modern take on an American Pale Ale features four hop varieties balanced by a crisp malt bill of pale and caramel malts. The beer is complexly aromatic, supremely hoppy, dry, and thirst-quenching. Soft notes of citrus, papaya, and grapefruit dance on the tongue before a delicate citric bitterness finishes things off. A refined Tree House classic! Read the original story here.

Doing a series of checkins featuring all the pint glasses I have accrued over the last 30 years. These are in no particular order. Twin Lakes was a brewery in Delaware that has closed. Went down there for a tour in 2013 when the brewery was on a farm.

From explosivedog shared with my wife: pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is citrusy with nice notes of malt. Clean, bright, citrusy, low bitternss. Light bitterish finish.

Taster showing pale straw with sparse white foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of clean pineapple. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied with a pillowy mouthfeel. Light clean pineapple throughout.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from the brewery. Appearance is hazy yellow with nice sparkle, 2-finger width foamy head with fair retention and trace, soapy lacing. Aroma is strong tropical fruit and citrus. Taste is strong citrus--tangy, almost tart--earthy leaves, weak saltine and bitter. Palate is light bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, I thought I was really going to enjoy this based on the aroma but the taste was dominated by the sharp-ness, and the firm citric bitterness. Not bad but disappointing.

16oz can pours a translucent dark gold with some fluffy, white head. Nose has soap, pine, grass, light grist, lightly floral. Flavor has a basic grist backbone, some light honey, then comes the grass and sweet herbs, pine and soap, a little grapefruit. Crisp and dry. Pounder.

0,44l can at home shared by Sander, big thanks. Canned 08/02/2018. dark yellow murky color, rather big white head. smells soapy, flowery, earthy, nice smell, rather on the soapy side though. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes soapy, earthy, spices, peppery, bit grassy, oats, bit herbal, light lychee. finishes light to medium bitter and still rather bubbly with notes of of citrus, earthy and some lychee notes. Nice overall, but definitly not a winner, quite high carbonation, taste wise not that much on offer.
