Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and uninhibited, Hardywood Singel is sunshine golden with a fluffy white head and a veil of Belgian ale yeast. A delicate body ushers tropical fruit esters into perfect balance with spicy hop aromatics. Singel’s mellow, dry finish culminates a truly ethereal experience.

Bottle from Beer52. Lightly hazed gold with a white head and a fine but prickly fizz. Tastes of straw and yeast and coriander seed and a little lemon. Sweetish with a slightly dry finish. Maybe a bit watery, but crisp and clean and pretty drinkable. Kind of a pale ale/Belgian beer hybrid. Decent enough.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is cardboard, yeasty. Taste is fruity, soggy grain, bland finish. The import did not do this well.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a thin white head that fades. Faint lacing. Aroma of apricot and white pepper. Flavour of straw and lemon peel with a peppery finish. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A bit harsh.

355ml bottle, via Beer52. Poured into a Duvel glass at home on 12th Jun 2020. Liked it. Golden orange body, off-white topping with lacing. Spicy, yeasty and malty nose, taste also has the same ingredients to the fore. Light fruity hints as the beer warmed a little, nice beer.

When I found this cheese chunky I knew I wanted to pair it with an abbey style beer! Hardywood Singel 6.2% Mellow gold with a fizzy off-white head and a vinous and honeyed grain aroma. Medium bodied but dry with light caramel, that vinous fruity flavor and honeycombs. Not bad on its own, a bit simple but refreshing. Let’s see what happens when I pair it with the Cheese & Cheese Crunky chocolate bar... ...the sweet cheese and rice puff white chocolate sweetness transforms the singel into a more earthy beast with hops and bitterness coming out to play. Really trippy pairing as the beer then brings out a fresh toast element from the chocolate.

Fluffy white head left a froth on a pale gold body. Fruity & yeast aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the front with a sharp clean back. Bitter spicy tastes with berries, citrus & faint hops. Poor.

330ml bottle. Pours dark gold with a small head. Aroma is slightly sour lemonade and yeasty straw. Taste has straw, yeast and icing sugar. A bit of rough booze.

[12oz bottle from Total Wines, Naples, FL.] A hazy pale amber pour with a thin white head; aroma of Belgian yeast; typical Belgian blonde taste with some orange, cardamon and banana; then a dry biscuity finish with lingering orange zest. Rather good.
