Traditional style Irish Red Ale (Leann dearg) with flavours reminiscent of nature takes you back to the turbulent ages of pirates of Omiš. The balanced blend of 4 different strains of top quality barley and 2 different types of the finest hops, reminds your palette of the refreshing homely taste of caramel, with a grassy-floral character. All beers from our craft brewery Barilo are made with traditional old time methods, without the use of modern additives. Using modern technology in controlled conditions, we produced this gentle Ruby Red Ale. The barley proteins in our Ale produce a mildly cloudy beer, and on the bottom of the bottle is a thin film of yeast, which is also known to be a rich source of B complex vitamins. Our beer is 100% natural and its ideal serving temperature is 8-12°C. Cheers!

Tap. Pours dark reddish with off-white head. Burnt caramel on nose. Not getting much better on tongue. It's bit harsh, but drinkable

Bottle, 0.5l. Cloudy deep amber pour, three finger frothy beige head. Long lasting, very good retention, lots of lacing on the glass. Malty, bready nose, slightly toasted, nice floral notes in the background. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Moderately fizzy mouthfeel, slightly watery, average texture. Herbal bitter taste with light malt sweetness. Aroma of toasted caramel, herbs and spices. Nutty, bready, mild floral. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste, a bit unbalanced. Short lasting finish, moderately dry and bitter. Good but unspectacular.

Bottled at Leopold's, Split. Clear ruby, huge head. Toasty floral nose. Mid dry with light-medium body and spritzy, rounded mouthfeel. Excessive carbonation. Dry wood, mild floral hops. Fairly low bitterness.

0,5 l bottle. Pours hazy orange red with huge rocky tan head. Head lasts till the end due to over carbonation. Aroma of caramel, sweet malty, light grassy and herbal. Flavor is similar, but it's over carbonated (not as much as Barilo Milo) and flavor is hard to detect. Same goes for palate, beer foams int the mouth... It is on the thin side with some medium bitterness. Due to over carbonation it's hard to drink. Second severely over carbonated beer from Barilo brewery, looks like they have problems with bottling line.
