An incredibly intense and delicate beer. So many harmonious tastes that an emotional reaction is possible due to its consumption, thus is good to be on a stand by ready for an embrace or a kiss. This is after all a double IPA.

Bottiglia.

February 11th 2019. On tap at Pločnik, Zagreb. Hazy golden, small off-white head. Lightly to moderately hoppy, floral, fruity, fragrant. Candy, stone fruit. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Flavour is fruity, good balance with malt, some candy or sugar. Moderate to heavy bitterness., lasting finish with a fruity kick. Quite serious. Not an alcohol bomb but a balance DIPA recipe.

Bottle handed to me by Neven from Croatia who's been doing a tour of the Rocky Mountain region.

330ml bottle, best before August 27th 2020. So it's pretty darned fresh.

It pours a lightly hazed pale gold, has oodles of foam with excellent lacing.

The smell has herbal hop notes, lots of citrus, very fruity, some grass and some toasted malt. Excellent nose.

Hoppy taste but there's a nice balance going on. Citrus and some melon meet caramel malt and toasted malt. Little bit of dankness going on but it's well within my comfort zone. It has that certain hoppy goodness that I always have trouble describing but I always favour it. You have to try it to understand what I am saying.

Slick and juicy mouthfeel, I like the lower level of carbonation.

This is a really excellent DIPA American style. No alcohol to be dealt with. Just pure DIPA enjoyment.

Bottle in the hotel room in Split, picked up from Little Beer Shop 2, 27/04/19. Hazed light golden orange with a decent off white covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is caramel malts, bitter orange, light pine, toasted malts, grassy, old skool twang. Taste comprises orange pith, sweet malts, mango, grapefruit, light breads, pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with grassy hop bitterness. Passable old skool leaning affair.

33cl bottle pours a clear gold with some sticky, white head. Nose has pine, orange and grapefruit, a little honey or flowers. Flavor is big with pith and pine and soap, grapefruit, spruce, a touch of sweet malt to help kill the edge. Full bodied, sticky and bitter.
