Bottle@Lars - very dark brown verging black with off white covering. Sweet and light toasted malty with notes of cocoa, caramel, fudge, medium body, sweet malty finish.

Die "Schwarze Königin", wie das Bier übersetzt heißt, ist ein Schwarzbier deutscher Brauart und kein Porter. Es erinnert an eine Königin die auf einer Burg in dieser Gegend regiert hat. Ob die recht beliebt war, steht nicht auf dem Etikett... ebenso ob es die wirklich gegeben hat. Als solides Schwarzes braucht es sich vor der deutschsprachigen Konkurrenz nicht zu verstecken. Es ist fein gehopft und hat den richtigen Grad an Süße.

0,5l bottle at Triton bar, Mali Lošinj. Pours cloudy dark brown with decent tan frothy head. Aroma is quite sweet, malty with some caramel and a hint of roasty notes. Taste is mainly sweet malty, some caramel and chocolate. Mild balanced bitterness and some herbal notes in aftertaste. Overall maybe a bit too watery, but pleasant and drinkable.

Draught @ Pivnica Medvedgrad, Zagreb. Pours cloudy copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast. Ditto flavour. Mild, slightly bitter aftertaste with sourish hints. Watery. Poor.
