Bottle shared thanks to Bierkoning for the bottle. Almost clear dark golden with enormous fluffy white head. Smoked meats, soft apple and apricot, sweet malts, caramel, light herbs and soft spicy rye. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Meh.

Bottle from bierkoning as part of Euro swap, many thanks. Aroma of malt, peat, lot of peat. Taste, malt, rye, spices and smoke. Nice portion of smoke. Nice beer.

Bottle at home with a big smoky thanks to ShivanDragon. Slightly hazy amber with white head. Sweet malts, smoked malts, grain, lemon, orangepeel, fudge, vegetal and grassy hops behind a curtain of meaty smoke. Moderate sweet and quite a dry ashy bitter, almost sour turn in the finish. Medium body, malty and milky, creamy soft texture with quite some soft carbonation. Mineralwater feel and coolness running through. A pleasant and sessionable beer with some quite ’out there’ aromas, without throwing up a wall of peat.

33 cl bottle from the brewery’s webshop @ home. Hazy orange/amber color. Dense almost white head with a few mm retention. Aroma’s of smoked malt, some sweetness. Retronasal it’s smoky, a little fruity, a little sweet, rye-ish. Flavor is moderate sweet, rye-ish, with a little fruit. Medium bodied (from the rye I guess). Finishes with smoke, light bitter. Nice stuff.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Rotem’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Hazy golden. Smoky aroma with sausages, a bit of spicy rye, fruity note. Sweetish and slightly sourish flavor, with strong smokiness - sausages and wood, a bit of caramel, a bit of spiciness, a fruity note, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB 06 2017, 33 cl sample. Slight hazy golden to orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of smoke, beechwood and spicy rye. Decription says "kruidig rookbier", which perfectly summarizes the aroma. In taste not much different, spicy, some malty rye notes and a subtle (beechwood?) smoke. Might be a bit thin in flavor, but overall well balanced. Good one.

Bottle. Orange golden color. Aroma of smoke, bacon, rauchmalz, rye spice and grain. Taste has sweet smokey bacon, rye spice, yeast and a sweet smokey finish. Another nice one.

Bottle courtesy of MonsterMagnet, many thanks! Hazy orange color with creamy eggshell head. Aroma is peated, wood smoke, light meat as well, though. A bit caramel, some spices. Taste is ash, caramel, meat, a bit spicy rye notes. Low carbonation. Quite nice, a smoked on the more woody side than the ham side.

33cl Bottle, thanks Henkie! Murky deep golden colour, off-white head. Aroma of smoke, peat, wet leaves. Flavour is smoke, peat, light earthy, leafy, malty, a bit of bread, a bit yeasty, bitter finish. Light bodied. OK.
