Reviewed from notes.
On tap at McGillicuddy's in Williston, VT
Appearance: dark brown close to black in the glass with no head, thus no lace
Aroma: cocoa powder with a touch of vanilla, subtle black coffee tones, subtle earthy to semi-citrusy hops far down in there
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bitter and slightly roasty quality; finishes dry with black coffee-like with some cocoa powder
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness along the tongue with some dryness
Overall: nicely done porter I would welcome again.

Pours black into an English pint. Mocha head with good retention pancakes and recedes leaving spider lacing. Dark chocolate and licorice aromas. Medium bodied with dark chocolate, licorice and espresso upfront turning to soy and pumpernickel in the soft, medium length finish.

Single from that bottle shop in Nashville. You know the one. Sleepy time in the fridge for like 8 months. Canned 12/20/24... it's porter.
Pint glass at home. Tall tan head that cleanly recedes. Dark brown body with some vino highlights.
Licorice & unsweetened choco nose with a bit of ash.
Dark & sharp malt, bitter char, red wine dark fruit, subtly pleasant acid & accompanying sweetness. Lingering astringent char.
Drinks thin & easy. Like.
