Hazy dark brown, beige head with some lacing. The aroma has notes of cooking chocolate and quite a bit of distilled spirit and oaky spice notes. The oak is sharp but not totally aggressive. The taste is mostly dry, with only little dark malts, low on roast - there's very little porter in it, to be honest - but big on brandy / oak flavouring and spice. So, a weak base beer and the strong soaked chip notes, along with the thin body, almost make it feel like a flavoured drink.
