Cask at the Prince Albert, Ely. Reddish brown, generous white head, an incredible amount of lacing. Slight berry and twig aroma. Malty taste with an underlying hoppy bitterness. Strong bitter aftertaste. Fairly full palette for this ABV. Decent enough.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden to copper in color and with a small, dense, beige head on top. Toffee-ish malts, grassy and piney hops and some cheesy hints in the aroma. The flavor has the same toffee-ish malts, with some faint bready hints. Grass, pine cones and some bitterness in the flavor. Full to medium body and a pleasant soft carbonation level. It finishes more or less as the initial flavor, but more on the bitter side. Quite decent, but far from worth a celebration. 140816
