Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a large throthy white head. Aromas of banana, apple, grains and hay. Taste has more grains and hay with some faint banana and cloves. Some peppery spice and a touch of grass on the finish. Thinnish body with fair carbonation. Very untypical for a Weissbier but still actually quite nice and refreshing.

Orange color, cloudy. Chalky, somewhat herbal bitter aroma and flavor. Fairly thin, yeasty and dry. Only a hint of banana. Northern German interpretation of a hefe weizen. The emphasis is on herbs and bitterness, rather than fruity sweetness.

Bottle at home. Hazy light yellow with white head. Dough, soft yeast, wheat, light herbal, a hint of cloves and banana, light paper. Under medium sweet and light bitter. Under medium bodied. A little light but very drinkeable and balanced.

Hazy pale golden colour, tall frothy white head, mostly lasting, fair lacing. Shy aroma wheat, lemon, light cloves. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, wheaty, light fruity, mixed spices (cloves, coriander, white pepper). Light sweetbitter aftertaste with some faint acidity and peppery notes. Not a typical weizen, not much yeast and fruitiness but more spicy, more bitterness than usual.

0.5l bottle. Hazy pale golden body with an enormous white head. The aroma is unusually grainy for a hefeweizen. With it's doughy yeast character it's almost like a kellerbier, but it also has some lemon zest, cloves and earthy hops. Taste of bread, grains, hay, yeast, clove, peach and quite a lot of spicy hops. Its hop profile is like an altbier's and it's only a bit fruity so it's not similar to the weizens of Bavaria at all. OK beer, but it's not how I picture a hefeweizen.
