Corked and caged bottle, batch no. 31.
It pours a dark amber, almost brown, with a finger of foam, long lasting. Lacing is impressive.
The nose is huge with the Brett and tartness. Fruity tartness with the added plus from the barrel aging.
Brett and barrel, Brett and tartness. tasting as good as it smells. When I think of English Old Ales, I think more of a JW Lees or Thomas Hardy. Barrel aged gave me a clue or 2.
No complaints aboot the mouthfeel.
Brett is promised, Brett is delivered.
Pretty damned good.
