An interpretation of the classic American ale. Various malt lend caramel flavor with hints of chocolate. This version has a lot more hops than the English version, giving citrus aromas and flavors.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours nearly opaque copper with a large creamy/foamy beige/tan head. Through an inch of foam the aroma seems chocolate and nutty. Just a guess. Med + body. Flavor is light pine, earthy, some chocolate - more than hints. It’s malty in a toasty/roasty way, but there seems to be a lot of hop, or at least enough to keep the malt down. Might be a touch of greasy nut, or not. Seems like something stranded between a black IPA and a porter. It probably qualifies for brown, and it’s definitely a nice ale whichever style it might be.
