Very nice dark beer with creamy head eye presentation. Smell is roasted dark malty beer. First taste is a little sweet and it is a little cloying, laced with dark roasted wooden feel. Some creamy carbonation follows in the middle. Session continues with a mild bitter burnt old damp charred wood impression. Not sure if its silky or not. Does tend to show its alky content somewhat. Tries to edge itself closer to a impy stout. $2 can from guntown.

Draught @ Rattle'n'Hum West (1/9/20). Clear dark brown with ruby red highlights against the light, small foamy dark beige head, well roasted malt aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter creamy dark chocolate taste with dark roasted malt flavor, thin body, long finish. Very good brew.

Can Extremely dark with just a touch of mahogany coming through at the edge. Small thin head. Aroma has ashy, molasses, over baked brownies. The flavor is lightly bitter. Roasty with very light soy. More bitterness than most milk stouts.

12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 11/23/19. Dark chestnut brown, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of roast and lactose. Taste is coffee, roast, smoke, lactose, a bit of cherry like fruit. Thin. Kinda meh, and sad because it's close to great.

Can pour into shaker pint glass Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is dark brown/mahogany, nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width foamy light brown head with poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, nuts, earthy. Taste is as aroma with some additional light chocolate and creamy notes. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and earthy bitter finish. Overall, quite nice.
