CASSIOPEIA is an imperial porter brewed for the onset of winter. Black as the night sky, our imperial porter is brewed from a blend of premium dark malts chosen for their complex caramel/chocolatey/fruity qualities. Cool-fermented with a clean Scotch ale yeast that emphasizes malty richness and earthy, mossy aromatics — think of Cassiopeia as a Baltic Porter fermented like a Wee Heavy. This velvety, warming ale is surprisingly well attenuated, light on the palate and digestible.

The Aromas are dark malt, roast, raisins and a little licorice. Flavors are like nose with roast and dark malt coming out stronger, sweet with carbonation to balance good body nice roasty finish. Not overly sweet.

Medium to full body with flavors of espresso, roast malt and sweet chocolate. The finish is roasty with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is a whole lot of chocolate, lightly roasted coffee, and some roasty maltiness. Taste is sweet and chocolatey for the most part. Body is nice and smooth. Very easy to drink considering the high abv.
