Draught at Frenchy's: pours light copper. White head. Aroma is lightly piny and biscuity. Fairly low bitterness. Really old school. Malty.

Key West Trip. Gold in color with a two-finger head. Aroma is like an IPA, with citrus and spruce. Taste is also like an IPA, with citrus and spruce.

Big pounder can. Pour is an ever so slight haze on pale. Head is nice but goes into pond scum mode after a few minutes. Nose is plain fresh and ale-like; some hints of citrus, just maybe. Yes, from the start its yer typical APA; not really bitter like an IPA, so its pretty much on style. Nice to find an APA that's not been bastardized by the IPA fad. Session is even keel and, simply just an amberjack, maybe one of the toughest pound-for-pound fighters in the ocean. Not sure if this really deserves the amberjack name, because its not quite a rich, buttery flavor, nor a taste mix between tuna and mahi-mahi, though not as steak-like as tuna and not as mild as mahi-mahi. However, it does seem hold up well to almost any APA brew, and can go nicely with the actual broiling, baking, grilling, pan frying or smoking of a real AJ. JMHO. There, you have it.

On tap at Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen in Orlando. Medium gold pour. Crisp malt meet’s citrus hops. Soft malt notes balanced by lemon, grapefruit and pine. Smooth and drinkable with a hint of black pepper on the backend. Decent.

Quite hazy golden and light amber coloured body with a bright orange glow and a relatively thick, three to four centimetre tall off-white and slightly soapy off-white head. Aroma of grass, hay, light alpha acids from the hops with a small nutty and earthiness with a dry bite towards the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and slightly citrusey flavours show up first with a good hit of grapefruit and lemons along with some orange sugars and a touch of grain coming through the edges. Aftertaste shows the grassy and very herbal profile with a good hit of sweetness from the oranges with a good crisp profile throughout that hits with some nice bitterness, but sweet qualities that makes this APA nice and rich throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased a few minutes ago from Wawa here next to my hotel in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on 02-January-2020 for US$2,29 sampled a few minutes later in my hotel room here in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on 02-January-2020, my second daughter's sixth birthday - Happy Birthday Paige!

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is a decent grapefruit. Nothing special but it there. Flavor is big sticky malt with some grapefruit hops. A bit old school and a bit weak for today's APA's
