Pale and a touch of haze. The aroma is heavily lactic, maybe with a touch of melon. There's a bit of something wonky in there - to me, the lactic is heavy but not entirely clean. The melon does not impart a strong enough character to overpower this - I think berries or cherry would be better.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out very sour honeydew upfront, lots of acidity, with a touch of oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with moderately acidic, fresh, tart honeydew, and a hint of oak. Acidic, fruity and tart. Not very complex and a bit too acidic, but it's pleasant.

Release #1.
Pours a hazy straw yellow, small head of foam that's gone in a flash.
Smells of tart melons, lemons, light honey sweetness, bit of wood.
Melon and wheat tartness taste with lemon, mild honey sweetness, wood, hint of Brett.
Light bodied, medium carbonation.
This is pretty good.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; batch #1. No bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy pale golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big juicy honeydew melons, tart lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, green apple, fruit peel, white grape, hay, straw, oak, wheat, and cracker; with lighter notes of pepper, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, honeydew melon, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy honeydew melons, tart lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, green apple, fruit peel, white grape, hay, straw, oak, wheat, and cracker; with lighter notes of pepper, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spice on the finish. Lingering notes of honeydew melons, tart lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, green apple, fruit peel, white grape, hay, straw, oak, wheat, cracker, pepper, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, honeydew melon, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness/fruit tang. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 7.4%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited sour/wild ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, honeydew melon, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly lactic/tangy/drying finish. Outstanding complex Brett showcase with balanced melon fruit. Nice oak foeder presence and malt balance. Never overly lactic, just the right amount. A highly enjoyable offering.

Sample at the tap room in Denver. Cloudy yellow color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of oak, funky yeast, fruit and malt. Medium body with an oaky and funky character and flavors of citrus, brett and malt. The finish is tart and funky with a citrusy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
