2017 Mischief reveals a new dry-hopping plan and a brand new label, both of which will change each year, every year. The 2017 edition of Mischief features Citra and Motueka hops, adding fresh citrus and tropical notes to the ripe, fruity character of the crisp, dry and effervescent Belgian-style.

Tap at Murphys PourHouse. Nice quick drink while picking up cans to go to the cabin.

Can from Libeerdade. I didnt really pay attention to the packaging date when I picked this up, but hey. Most of the hops - not surprisingly- are gone by now, especially the aroma of them, some of the bitterness and some underlying hoppyness is still there, but not much. A very solid belgian strong otherwise, so it’s all good all in all.

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Hoppy and yeasty aroma with tart citrus, peach, orange, grapefruit, estery yeast, grass, peppery spicy notes, melon, and a hint of farmhouse funk. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a little tartness and a moderate hoppy bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Lovely citrussy and tropical fruits merge with estery peppery yeast and soft tart farmhouse funk, resulting in a very pleasant US-Belgian hybrid.

Can from Beer republic. Golden color with medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt, candies, fair amount of citrus hops. Taste starts malty, followed with candies, light caramel malt, later on also citrus hops arrived to party. Very good beer.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary, some herbal and earthy tones. Flavour is herbal, earthy, some nectary and mild spicy tones to it. Ok. Somewhat tart peachy aftertaste.

A brewery I really like and a style I appreciate considerably. This is a good setup. I have a tall boy can picked up who knows where but will be going inside of a snifter this evening. The sight is a clear, straw yellow body followed by considerable carbonation and a solid white skim of very fine bubbles. I smell hops and yellow fruit. The drink is line with the scent. Dried apricots, grain, a nice hoppy bitterness. The sensation I get is dryness, quite dry finishing. I would have like a bit more sweetness but that is me. Good for the style but there’s others I enjoy more.

Can 47,3 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a lacing, white head. Spicy, fruity nose with a faint, yeasty touch. Solid, fruity body, again slight yeast and a hoppy touch leaving little bitterness. 030623

On my first flight in OC Local Taproom, 20th January 2023. Poured a dull golden colour with a wispy white head (as did the other two beers on the flight). Belgian yeast meets Citra and Motueka Hops, interesting combination that seemed to work OK.
