40oz bottle in our appartment in Maui, picked up from some liqour store in Laihana - whilst maximising tick options, 24/04/14. Clear golden with a well appointed white head - a decent looking beer. Nose is bubblegum, light banana skin, toffee, toasted notes, on the of the better smelling ML’s for sure! Taste comprises grainy notes, sugar, faint caramel, wood chips, pretty bland. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Meh-ish but as malt liquors go not too bad and certainly deserving of a higher average score than it holds. That said approx 36/37 oz of this product were of course recycled!

Pale gold appearance. Smells like vanila pudding and rice crispies. Corn, astringent, not had. Just very little flavor.

Can, 25oz. A clear, lightly pale golden beer with a diminishing white head. Some alcohol on the nose, fruityness and a very faint touch of pale malts. The flavor pretty much the same, missing big time on the bitterness. A tad thin on the palate, low and soft carbonation. Yet another forgettable beer. 130811

Big Can: Pours clear, honey gold with an active, yellowish head. Aroma is corn, grain, malt. Taste is sweet corn malt, water.... A slight presence of alcohol. Not pleasant at all.....now I must turn my efforts to locating the 12% version....not all whales are pretty.

Tall boy canned @ home picked up at Argonaut for $1.49 poured into my Avery Sour Fest snifter. Pours a clear golden orange appearance with little head. Big grape drank, cotton candy, fruity aroma. Tangy berry, rich grape drank, a bit boozy flavor. Prickly mouthfeel. Pass.

40 oz bottle. Sickly sweet corn syrup malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Very sweet corn syrup and fusely alcohol flavor. After sitting overnight, sweetness fades so this fine beer should be allowed to breath.

24oz can picked up at Discount Liquors in Evanston
Appearance: Pours clear light golden, small to no white head and no lacing
Aroma: Sweet malts and corn
Taste: Sweet malts, doughy, grainy, herbal and bitter finish
Not as bad as some of the other reviews, it is what it is. Gets the job done, if that’s what your looking for.
