Flare (yes, that’s how we are spelling it) is our gose that we have added citrus fruit to. This beer is slightly tart, a little salty, and has a nice balance from the fruit and spices. Ale brewed with orange and coriander.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, citrus and light tart. Flavor is medium sweet, moderate bitter and light salty. Dry, moderate bitter and light salty with a light acidic edge. 250616

Keg at the CP&K, 22/06/16. Hazed orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is green berry must, ripe tangerine, straw, damp hay, light bread, grain. Taste comprises yeast esters, lemon drizzle, funky notes, tarte gooseberries, damp cloth, light salt tickle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close wih a restrained puckering. Solid Gose.

Pours hazy gold with a small head.Nose shows lemon, briney notes, light doughy wheat.Flavours include a fair acidity, doughy wheat, slight cardboard notes, lemon pith.

Bottle from Beergium. Hazy golden with a small white head. Rather tart with citrus, salt, light grass and some gooseberries. Kind of mild and easy to drink.

Keg at Cask, big thanks to Bunce. It pours hazy golden amber with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, sour, preserved lemon, lime, orange, salted action and lactic. The taste is crisp, tart, sour, refreshingly acidic, orange, lemon - lime, lemon sherbet, coriander and lactic tang with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty refreshing stuff.

Bottle at the hotel in Austin - picked up at Stein’s. Pours hazy gold with a tight, creamy head. There’s a bit of lemon in the nose, some sweat. Light sweet flavour, lightly acidic, with pleasant salty bite, a dash of lemon juice, mild pale wheat. Light bodied with spritzy, massaging carbonation. Cleansing and refreshing on the finish, with some salty sweat, more lemony notes, light bitter rind. Nicely balanced tartness. Excellent palate. Can’t get much better than this.

On tap at fermentoren. Trübes orange goldenes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch leicht säuerlich fruchtig, kraut. Geschmack leicht säuerlich Brett, helle Früchte.
