Purchased in a can at Warsaw Airport. The beer pours dark brown, almost black, with no visible head. The aroma opens with hazelnut and caramel, followed by roasted notes of coffee and cocoa, but also shows a noticeable alcoholic sharpness and a slightly chemical edge. On the palate, bitterness appears first, joined by dark fruit notes reminiscent of cherry. Coffee and cocoa provide depth, while the poppy seeds are clearly perceptible, adding a nutty yet slightly awkward character that disrupts overall harmony. The mouthfeel is oily and heavy, with a sticky sweetness lingering in the finish. Overall: a bold and experimental Imperial Stout that delivers intensity and originality, but struggles with balance.
