Can. Amber beer with an off-white head. Nutty malt aroma with light wheat. Spice and coconut flavor with wheat. Medium bodied. Spice and coconut linger with wheat.

Can from the Tapa Tower ABC. Pours translucent amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma of banana and a coconut cookie. Medium body. Flavor is banana with some clove and a touch of coconut. Hefe it is.

One off can from De Bierkoning. Pours a hazy orange yellow colour and a small white-ish head. Aroma's: a bit weird, vegetal, artificial, coconut, fruity. Retronasal there's cocos, wheat, vegetal. Flavour is very light sweet with a hint of bitter. Light bodied. Light bitter finish. The idea of Weizen with cocos seemed attractive, but the result was disappointing.

12 oz. can at Kukui's, and consumed from a plastic cup in a lounge chair on Kalapaki Beach. Pours an unclear, orange color, with a medium, frothy, white head. The nose is coconut water, green banana, vanilla, and almonds. Sweet and yeasty, with a light tang. Light body, with a creamy, lightly acidic palate. This is a fun and refreshing beer.

Backlog from 2019. Pours a hazy burnt orange color. It’s sweet with toasty malt and spicy yeast. Coconut? Not really getting that. It’s alright though.

Can from Hawaii: pours lightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is a weird coconut notes and banana and spicy. Taste seems to almost have a little bit of booze. Otherwise a moderately sweet and occasionally synthetic coconut taste. Meh.

Kind of an odd beer. I was trying to imagine why anybody would want to make a coconut hefeweizen and I still don't know. The flavors seem all mashed together without any rhyme reason or balance. One and done.

Very nice hazy golden and bronzed coloured body with a smooth, barely single centimetre tall pure white head, but showing some minute movement on the bottom and sides of the glass. Aroma of wheat, a light dose of citrus, some fairly minimal coriander seed freshness with some smother honey notes as well. No real coconut at all to speak of here, at least in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharp flavour from the wheat with a light grassy and dry note from grain and some softer fruits noticeable a bit later. Aftertaste shows some dry wheat, a touch of grasses and light herbs with only a bit of anything at else coming through - just some smooth flavours with the wheat by far the strongest. Overall, a pretty standard hef with some mellow notes, a dose of honey and no coconut notes at all coming from this one - pretty mellow throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Whaler's Convenience Store on Kuhio [at Lewers] in Waikiki, Honolulu, O'ahu on 26-December-2018 for US$2,49 sampled a day after coming to celebrate Christmas here on the Islands, on 27-December-2018.

Draft at the source. Cloudy yellow color. Coconut lemon banana aroma. Coconut up front in the taste, lemon straw background. Works.
