Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours clear amber with a medium, foamy white head. The nose is soft, juicy, light peach, lemon sherbet, sweet bread and mild toffee. The taste is crisp, bitter, toasty grain, caramel/toffee, piney resin, light alcohol and a touch of hope astringency with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit restrained methinks.

Bottle shared at a CBC Clerkenwell tasting - London. Cheers to Fergus. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of rindy citrus, orange and pale bread. Light-medium sweet flavor, with lightly juicy citrus fruits, more orange, some tangerine, lightly bitter pine. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with rindy orange, pale bread crust, subtle pine. Good stuff overall.

Bottle, 10C. Clear amber with a thick white head That fades fairly quickly.. Aroma is fruit, earthy and spicy, with gooseberries, lime-leaf, grapefruit, some bread crust. Oily with lowish carbonation that is just perfect for me. Sweet spicy bread, explosive gooseberry and citrus, hints of other fruit. Finish is fairly dry and quite bitter. Partly I liked this because that pungent and coiled earthy/ spicy top note that green hopped beers often promise actually is delivered here but the fact that it’s a little less fizzy is worth a point too. Excellent.

Bottle from Craftissimo at home. Translucent amber pour with dissipating head. Aroma. Taste is maltier/sweeter than expected, tastes almost juicy. Hops are sharp, almost sour, and piney, deep bitterness. Very similar to the Tuatara APA in body, color, and maltiness, but different types of hoppiness, the Conehead tastes more complex - a lot going on for a 5.8% beer. Good!
