Sampled draft @ ZBF 2013. Hazy orange with a creamy white head. Nose is sweet, chorine, flowers, honey and lots of herbs. Taste is sweet, sweet malts, chlorine, grass, herbal, bitter herbs, toothpaste, BE hops, herbs,… Fizzy,… Better actually than any of that sounds.

Bottle @ home. Very hazy orange color, medium sized beige head. Smell a lot of herbs and spices and some sweetness. No hops anyway. Taste malts, just lightly hops in the background, a lot of herbs or spices again, koriander, nutmeg and mint. Some sweetness as well. Really don’t like it, way way way too much herbs or spices. (Or a bad bottle?)

Nice chunky amber coloured body with a touch of a copper glow and a very nice three centimetre tall tan head that stays atop the beer nicely. Aroma of light grassy hops, alcohol, hay and barnyardie funk and quite a bit of yeast in the mix, all with some fruits such as apples and pears. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal hop note that shows very well along with a lot of yeast and malt, all with a good herbal, grassy finish. Aftertaste shows a lot of complexity - fitting for the style and a bunch more grassy and hop bitterness than most belgies. Overall, I’m not sure what other people didn’t like about this beer - but it was pretty nice to me, a belgian ale with a touch of a sour kick, with a very nice complexity and much more hops than normal - sort of a belgie styled APA, but there was nothing bad at all about this - but I also had it VERY fresh. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Beer Mania in Bruxelles, Belgium on 30-June-2012 for €2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 14-July-2012.

Bottle: Cloudy, light amber coloured, floaties visible, small and stable foamy layer, distinctive medical - Wick-like - hoppy nose, some caramel underneath; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, quite slim for a beer of 6.5%; thin bitter-medical with some balancing malt. A liquid nasal spray…

Bottle at Hasselt Beer Festival, Hasselt, Limburg, Belgium 12.11.11 in company of Loz, Jackie, Simon and David. Pours amber with a bubbly slim white head, touch hazy. Spicy, little yeasty and with citrus, its fruity and pleasant enough. Its an ok beer but lacking the oomphh and hops that the name suggested and that I was expecting. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Little cloudy copper red bere, small off-white head, non stable. Aroma: sweet, fruity, peaches, some pineapple, something medicinal (like ointment), citrus. MF: little carbon, light to medium body. Taste: bitter hops, rotten fruits, some citrus. Aftertaste: dry bitter hops, bit fruity and citrus. Tastes a bit messy.
