Honeycomb Ice Cream Stout
We’ve teamed up with Scottish gods of ice cream Mackie’s for a rich and indulgent 7% honeycomb stout that you can eat before dessert, after dessert or forget dessert and just have this instead.
Mackie's are based on the family farm 17 miles from Brewdog's brewery, where they've been making ice cream from "Sky to Scoop" since 1986.

Dark brown with a short tan head. Aroma of honey dark malt. Flavour is ice cream sweet, pastry stout malts, dry back, a bit messy, like a smashed desert.

Rather honeyed sweet taste. Ok in smaller amounts (Hotel room, London 02.09.2026).

Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, a decent bubbly tan head that doesn't last. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth if mildly thin dark malts, some dark chocolate syrup. An overlay of mild Crunchie bar honeycombe. Some odd estery sugary things going on. Light finish. Typical late Brewdog macro BS.

440ml can. Poured almost black in colour with a thin, broken, tan head. The aroma is roasty, caramel vanilla, saccharine. The flavour is over moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, sweet sugary vanilla, liquorice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with average carbonation. Ok, but full of fake flavours like most Brewdog beers these days.

Tap @ Brewdog Lothian Road, Edinburgh. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, heavy caramel, heavy toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is very sweet. Sweet finish. Soft. 250726

440ml can with a Picnic Chocolate Bar, my nightcap and supper late on 16th July 2026, turned out to be rather a heavy drinking day! This was poured into my lovely Gordon thistle shaped glass a couple of times and it looked great, dark bodied with a beige crown on both pours. Liked it a lot, creamy and sweet from start to finish. Obtained from my local Morrisons, some deal on Brew Dog cans, four for the price of three or something.
