Bouteilles 33 centilitres, robe très sombre et épaisse, un peu rougeâtre façon vin rouge, très peu de carbonatation, en bouche, c'est très intense, sucré, parfumé, les notes de piment sont bien présentes en fin de bouche. C'est très réussi même si ça peut vite devenir écœurant, comme un gâteau quoi !

Bottled. Black colour, small beigeish brow head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, vanilla, some spices as well as some mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, spices, toffee, mild ripe fruits as well as some mild coffee and mild vanilla to it. Sweetish, but good dessert beer.

Love the bourbon BA version but haven't had the regular up until now. Pours super dark, pitch black with lots of tan head. Mine opened up very explosively in fact, not sure what happened and whether it had an impact on flavour. Aroma is slightly boozy, lots of caramel and chocolate, slight sherry note, vanilla, light spices. Medium to big body. Flavour is sweet and rich, but not quite as much as I'd expected - perhaps quite a bit of additional fermentation in the can here? Flavours are delicious nevertheless: lots of chocolate, light chili heat, lots of caramel, light vanilla, spices, very prominent cinnamon, especially in the finish. Long finish, with some lovely smoked chili/chipotle, lots of cinnamon and lightly bittersweet chocolate. The BA version is even better in my opinion, but this is more pure and equally delicious, just different. Lovely.

Black beer, thick, fizzy brown head which soon fizzles away to a thin cap. Smells sweet and malty with just a little spice to it. Flavour has a nice blend to it with lots of toasty malt, some sweetish chilli with just enough heat to it that you know it's there, some dried fruit. My recollection was that this had more of a kick to it than I care for from a chilli beer but the balance is actually pretty much spot on. Has a nice warming aftertaste to it too and a nice rich body. Very nice.

33cl can from hopt.it. Pours black, with moderate fine brown foam. Aroma is intense of chocolate and chili peppers. Body seems light at contact, with moderate carbonation. Oily at contact at well. Taste is fairly sweet first, roasty, then pretty chili. Final is final long with the latter feeling.
