Seven years, seven of our favourite adjuncts. Brewed to mark Vault City's 7th birthday, this decadent imperial stout layers chocolate cacao nibs, maple syrup, coffee, coconut, vanilla, cinnamon, and caramel into something luxuriously smooth and full-bodied. It’s dark, rich, sticky, and the perfect way to celebrate seven sweet years, with many more to come.

Tap at Drinkoteka. Black body, no head. Creamy aroma, chocolate, bit of vanilla, fine. Creamy, heavily alcoholic liqueur aroma, chocolate and cinnamon I guess, maple, light raisins. Creamy, still very "warm" taste, raisin, cocoa, barrel-like notes (coconut, vanilla), roughish, but ultimately quite tasty!

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of chocolate syrup, vanilla, coconut, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with a bit of additional cinnamon and a lot of sugars. Sticky and sweet but without much notice of the ABV. Quite tasty, though would not drink much.

Can from Craft Beer Cabin, Bromley. Nose is chocolate cake, caramel, cappuccino, cinnamon, raisin, coconut. Taste is sweet tobacco, caramel, milk chocolate Bounty Bar, raisin, cinnamon. Humungously sweet & exceedingly warming.

Can courtesy of Baz from Hereford Beer House and consumed in the company of Jude and Baz at Camping Leutasch, Austria, Friday 15th August 2025, we had a Thomasina Miers Chilli-con-Carne, Deep Fried Pineapple, Mexican Roasted Courgettes and Mexican Rice. Okay so another day, another Vault City stout that is unbelievably sweet. I could go through the checklist of ingredients here and almost certainly tick each one off. Vault City make really good stouts, however their achilles heel is that they are consistently too sweet, cloyingly sweet.

Draught keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Leicester city centre. Fairly dark brown, opaque with a ring of khaki head. Aroma of caramel, treacle, salt, Marmite.
Taste is sweet, cracked wheat, yeast extract, salted caramel. Thin and syrupy body with medium carbonation. Amazing.

330ml can. Pours jet black with no head. Aroma is sweet coconut and vanilla with a little coffee and maple. Taste has sweet maple syrup, coconut and coffee, with a boozy finish.
