S naší edicí Single Hop Ale máte jedinečnou příležitost prozkoumat a porovnat vlastnosti jednotlivých odrůd chmele na základě jednoho receptu. Tentokrát jsme poprvé vyzkoušeli nový český chmel Venus, vyšlechtěný z odrůdy Kazbek, Columbus a planých žateckých chmelů. Těšit se můžete na svěží citrusové a ovocné tóny s bylinnou koncovkou.

750ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Orange, herbs and a hint of black pepper in the aroma. Relatively bitter taste with notes of orange, grapefruit and marmalade. There's a lingering bitterness in the finish. I had lowered my expectations on this one based on the previous reviews and that probably helped to stop me being disappointed as for what it is it's pretty steady.

0.75l bottle at Base camp, with Gurthnar and SZ. Clear golden body, lasting medium white head. Floral, minerally, bit yeasty aroma, bit sulfury, not great. Lean, dry, light, watery taste, bit floral, lightly grainy, vaguely tartz almost no bitterness. Not ideal.

Med-thin body, med carbo. Med bitter, light sweet. Rather dry, but med-light caramel present, a but of diacetyl too. Med-light hops character, could use much more. Light grassy citrusy hoppiness. Overall drinkable, but boring. Eh.

From tap at BeerGeek Bar, Prague, 25.07.25. Clear golden straw colour. White, diminishing head and lacing. Aroma and taste of peach, dried apricot, fresh papaya and pale malt.
