0.33 l bottle from local ’REWE’, best before November 2017. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, bready, slightly grassy and a bit musty aroma of grains, yeast, dough and some straw. Slightly sweetish, moderately bitter, bready and grassy taste of dough, yeast, straw and some grains, followed by a short, medium bitter, quite dry, grassy and slightly yeasty finish. Medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay, not really pleasant though.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Yellow and slightly hazy with a large white head. Bready, earthy and malty aroma, with sourdough, forest floor and a fresh touch of citrus. It’s sweet to the taste, and incredibly malty and yeasty with some mastic notes. There’s a lively sharp bittering hop near the end, but it disappears in the finish, leaving the baking yeast and slight fruit flavours to simmer in the aftertaste. If this is your kind of thing then you’ll probably love this. I think it’s good but maybe a touch too heavy.

50cl swing top bottle from Beers of Europe. Cloudy orange colour, with a nice creamy white to off-white head, good lacing. Sweet aroma of fruity malts, slightly bready. Taste is fruity malts again, hops, a little sourness, yeast. Overall a really nice beer (first time tasting this style and I like it).

500ml bottle [BBE 13/04/15, 06:53; should be more precise: GMT+1 or what?]. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Relatively complex grainy, husky, fruity aroma, hints of protein, lemon, hay, piss ’n’ peach. Taste is dry, minimally tart, slightly sweet grainy, some husk, protein, hay, lemon. Surprisingly good, maybe I hit the perfect time slot of its optimal condition: 19:49:07 - oh, I apologize for my imprecision, CEST, of course.

* Old rating, 50cl swing-top bottle, bets before 06.06.06. Mild-malziges, leicht getreidiges, leicht süßliches Bier. Sehr süffig, aber auch nicht zu tief.
