Not too spicy, not too sweet, and not like any pumpkin beer you’ve had before. This pumpkin ale was brewed with Saigon Cinnamon and Habanero and De Arbol peppers for an explosion of flavors that’ll keep you coming back for more.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Bert's Better Beers. Appearance is clear gold with nice, lazy sparkle, thin cap of white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is pumpkin, allspice. Taste is dominant allspice and cinnamon, milder pumpkin. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation, dominant moderate cinnamon/pepper spicy heat with warmth in the esophagus and finish as taste. Overall, borderline too spicy but they do a nice job of adding pepper to bring out the cinnamon heat conjuring up an atomic fireball. Stays within the realm of a pumpkin beer but gives a unique angle. Kudos.

Bottle from Boise Coop. Pretty standard fare here, normal amount of pumpkin spice. Bright dark golden with a small soapy head. Taste is more of the pumpkin spice, kind of generic, but it is that time of year.

On Tap Mostly clear orange light amber. Nice holiday pumpkin aroma. A littel caramel sweetness in the malt flavors and the pepper kick is a nice sizzle. Balanced and interesting flavors. A litle sweet.

Short strings of lace. Aroma of chili pepper, malt and cinnamon. Medium body with flavors of hot pepper, cinnamon and malt. The finish is pumpkin spices and peppers. Decent overall.

Bottle. Cinnamon sugar, light pepper, biscuit malt, and light hay aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet cinnamon, pumpkin bread malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Mild to moderate habanero pepper flavor/burn in the finish. Good body. Pretty good - spice not overdone.
