Aroma of malt, bread, caramel, raisins, fruity notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light bitter finish. Not a bad Altbier.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat gistachtige geur. De smaak is moutig, zacht en zoetig.

Aroma has licorice, coughing syrup and peach. Syrupy, but not very sweet. Strange, medecinal flavor with licorice, hops and grapes.

Bottle at Pivoteka. Dark coppery-bronze body, creamy off white head. Light, slightly biscuity malty aroma. Clean, light, malty taste, maybe slightly caramelly, bit dull but okay, apart from a vague herbal hoppy touch near the finish, literally nothing else. Drinkable, dull.

0.33 l bottle from Pivoteka. Thanks Marko. Shared with him and Anna God. Clear amber, small off-white head. Very light malty. Light herbal touch. No character. Light flavours, malty. Watery. Dry finish with a metallic touch.

0.3 l bottle from ’Wijnhuis Blerick’, best before May 2018, apparently with a nieuw recipe according to the label (now with four different malts). Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, red fruits, toasted nuts and hints of straw. Quite sweet, just slightly bitter, malty, moderately fruity and a little grassy-spicy taste of caramel, raisins, red fruits, some toasted nuts and a touch of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite nice, decent Alt!
