750 ml bottle into tulip glass; Batch #2, bottled in 2016. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, orange zest, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, papaya, white grape, oak, white pepper, hay, floral, light leather/funk, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, orange zest, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, papaya, white grape, oak, white pepper, hay, floral, light leather/funk, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light coconut/vanilla, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange zest, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, papaya, white grape, oak, white pepper, hay, floral, light leather/funk, wheat, cracker, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero astringent/puckering flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from tart/tannic notes as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/acidic/grainy, and lightly tannic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an excellent Brett wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak barrel, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modest acidity and light tannic oak presence. Very vibrant on Brett complexity. A very enjoyable offering.

On draft at Beer Baron in Livermore. It pours a clear pale golden color with a small off white head. The aroma has peaches, lemony acid and light flowery notes. The flavor has some oak, strong lactic acid, lightly toasted malt, tart peaches and white grape. It’s rather full bodied with a good amount of fruity sweetness to balance out the strong acidity. Nice malt character too. Just a hint of smoky funk near the finish with light buttery barrel notes. The lower than normal carbonation for the style is the only real knock on this one. Otherwise, good stuff.

Capped & corked 750 from Corti Bros. Pours hazy gold with no head. Light sourish mixed fruit aroma. Med body almost. Flavor is slightly sour mixed fruits. Citrus seems in it. It drinks very nicely. Finally some oakiness develops. Coconut? May take awhile. :)
