Sourish-fruity, slightly sweetish taste of caramel, brown sugar, red grapes and wood, followed by a short, slightly tart finish. On tap at Carnivale Brettanomyces ’16. At Arendsnest. Dark reddish brown colour, thin beige head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, yeast, cinnamon, wood, light acetic, brown sugar, malts. Flavour is quite sour and puckering, some red fruits, red wine, balsamic vinegar, cinnamon, malts, brown sugar, sour finish. Light to medium bodied. Quite sour, maybe a bit too much so, but very tasty. Good.

THANKS for sharing RB people! Sampled draft @ Arendsnest during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Amber orange. Nose is brett, touch paint thinner, vinegar, glue heavy oud bruin. Taste is bit sweet upfront, watery, low vinegar, glue, low carbonation. Bit too watery to fully work for me but an okay glue & vinegar forward oud Bruin. Surprissed that this one is a Dunkler Bock – came across as a real Oud Bruin – issues aging it?

(Draught at Butcher’s Tears, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2016) Dark ruby red colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of red fruit, raspberries, cherries, oak wood and balsamic vinegar. Fruity, tart taste with red fruit, raspberries, oak wood and a fresh balanced acidity in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and tasty with a balanced sourness. Nice one.
