[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a fast fading chocolate coloured head; chocolate aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a harsh roasted malt taste; and a dry finish. An okay stout, but nothing more.

330ml can from Beer52. Poured into a Gordons thistle shaped glass at home on 4th October 2025 (Grimsby Town won 2 goals to nil in Salford earlier, so kind of celebrating). All dark beers look good in this glass, hence why I use it. Sadly the head on this beer (tanned colour) soon turned into a wisp and collar, even as I write this, haven't even taken a sniff yet. The aroma is chocolate malts, as is the initial taste. Dry, almost bitter dark chocolate flavour, soft and smooth it isn't, more harsh and hard in nature, not unpleasant, but unexpected. Took a while to drink it all, but it grew on me and it's harshness was the main redeeming factor.

330ml can from Beer52. Pours a dark brown with beige to tanned head, and once settled a swirly top of foam. Aroma of roasted malts, black pepper, chocolate, milk, hint of dark fruits. Taste of quite a bitter dark malt with dark chocolate, liquorice, light hint of nuts and sour dark fruits. Medium to full bodied. Good stout.

Dark brown pour with a stable tan head. Aromas of licquorice, malt, some milk and minerals. Taste is roasted malt and cocoa (almost burned), then milk/cream and licquorice. It grows on you after some sips.
