Naturally elegant and refreshingly adult with a sparkling natural pear finish and a subtle woody complexity, complemented by an intense fresh pear bouquet. Naturally fermented using 100% pear juice, not from pear juice concentrate or pear-flavored hard apple cider. Filtered cold for extra purity, with no added colorants, sugar, sorbate or benzoate preservatives. No added malt, spirit, grape or apple alcohols.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent perry color with some fine bubbles. Aroma is somewhat sweet pear. Near med body. Flavor is very pear. A little skin. It’s a bit like having bitten a ripe pear. Seems dry, but a little sugar builds on my lips. Quite drinkable.

On tap @ Republic. Pours a clear gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma has notes of pre-ripe pear that has a good amount of earthiness. Flavor is much more sweet with ripe pear and a kind of candy note.

On tap @ The Mayor of Old Town. Clear, very light yellow appearance with a tiny white head. The aroma is kind of intriguing. Perfume, potpourri, pear, passion fruit and Smarties. The flavor is surprisingly not overly sweety. Lots of apple, pear, and candy. Light body. Pretty juicy. Slightly bland.

bottle - This perry has a pleasant ripe pear aroma. It’s mild, sweet, and a bit watery though the latter is predictably better as it warms. I thought this one was a little bland but it’s definitely refreshing and good for a hot day.
