Night Music is a new series of luxurious stouts. Slightly different from our usual sweet My Continuous Improvement a slightly lighter body and with a dash of Muscovado Sugar for some dark sugar complexity. Expect a punch of alcohol that keeps you alert, balanced by the sweetness of Maple. A slightly more serious Imperial Stout for those wanting to escape the grip of back-to-back Pastry Stouts. Expect cinnamon and nougat on the nose, which evolves into a dark chocolate crunchie bar in liquid form.

Keg at Cloudwater taproom, Bermondsey, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Rich roasty, malty, dark chocolate, coffee action, hint of maple. Expected some sweetness in this one but almost none detected, was quite bitter. Quite decent but I expected something better than this.

Dark black pour with a small tan head. Aromas: roasted coffee, milk/cream.
Taste is roasted malt, cocoa and coffee, milk, licquorice, some maple syrup, red berries, tiramisu. nice long, boozy finish

Pours jet black with a thick dirty tan head. Loads of roast malt, chocolate, coffee, muscovado sugar, hint of maple sweetness on the finish and loads of liquorice. Lovely and thick. Really good impy. Well balanced and not too sweet

Taste comprises brown sugar melt, balanced maple syrup, booze tunes, molasses, dark fruit rinds, toffee.
Full bodied, oily feel, drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy sipper if not from the top drawer.
