Draft. Hazy to cloudy golden yellow color, medium white head. Big lemon aroma. Taste is very lightly tart citrus, earthy maybe tea at the finish. Easy drinking.

Sampled on draft at this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a large foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was salty, sour and tart with a lemon presence. The flavor was semi sweet and malty with notes of salt and citrus. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.

Can: Briney cereals, lemon zest nose. Hazy yellow, headless. Lemon, lime at midpalate, mild malt finish. Light body, thin. Very refreshing and flavorful, but watery.

Easygoing Berliner Weisse, just tart enough to stay lively and interesting, going subtle instead of blowing your palate out like a godawful can of Twisted Tea. Surprisingly toasty with the malts, starting sour yet growing a biscuit-tinged undertone laced with lemon. Tea notes wait until the finish to make themselves known, and even then they’re fairly modest, adding a leafy, tobacco-tinged fade that mixes nicely with the citric tang. Ugly as hell, but the feel’s about right for a Berliner, and the nose delivers on its promises. Better than it should be.
