Röstiger, leicht süßer Malzantrunk. Noten von Kaffee die sich deutlich steigern, dazu passt auch die extrem steigende Bitterkeit. Vollmundig, etwas Bitterschokolade. Gut. 10/11/12/12/9/12

Butelka 0,5 z datą ważności do 30.03.2019. SMAK: gorzka czekolada, kakao, ziemistość, goryczka ziołowa z żywicznym finiszem, i znowu zaskoczenie spodziewałem się więcej słodyczy, likierowości, a goryczka robi swoje.

Bottle shared in Warsaw - with the bros! Pours clear brown with a small, frothy beige head. Mellow roast in the nose, toasty bread, brownies. Medium sweet flavour with a bit of alcohol, well toasted bread, moderate earthy bitterness, burnt toffee, leather. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with strong earthy bitterness, light ash, more leathery notes, aged berries, baking cocoa. Not bad. But I was expecting a lot more.

330 ml bottle, bb 2017/06/23. Many Thanks to Werckmeister!
Dark brown body, with a small, creamy, beige head.
Aroma of cocoa, milk chocolate, molasses, brown sugar, some coffee, dark fruits, grapefruit, some tropical fruits, some pine.
Tastes quite similar, with even a bit more hops and some dark honey.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium roasty, a bit sweet, a bit warming, slightly wooden, with cocoa, hops, some liquorice.

Very tasty. Pretty unique style example, very hoppy, but also with lots of sweet dark malts, overall this has a bit of a Barley Wine twist. Very well balanced, pretty complex, but drinks really smooth, alcohol is greatly hidden. Not the best style example I’ve had, but a great, remindable one for sure.

Bottle split at Reubens, thanks to he, 13/08/16. Black with a moderate tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is dark fruit rinds, chocolate, spice, black pepper, molasses, cocoa powder. Taste comprises fruit cake, dates, black pepper. spice, roasted brown sugar, earthy, dark chocolate. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent strong porter but doesn’t warrant a 4+ score for me. Arrange this by top raters for a more subjective view !

33cl bottle from Pothouse, Tallinn. Pours pitch black with a decent beige head. Rather intense roasty aroma with plenty of dark chocolate, dark fruits, hints of coffee, dark dried fruits, wood, caramel and American hops. Medium sweet and surpisingly smooth with complex flavours and a surprisingly balanced bitterness. Woundn’t mind more of this. Desserty and delicious!
