The soft citrus of orange blossom gives this Helles lager a bright note and complements its sweet honey malt, leading to a smooth round finish.

Bottle. One of the better Helles I have drank. Nice balanced favor and aroma and a crisp gold color.

6er from the lcbo. Clear golden pour, with a large white head. Aroma is big on the orange, and some sweet bready malts. Mouth feel is fat, and the carb is very soft. The finish is sweet, with a distinct orange candy flavour thta I’m not digging. No pleasant cereals like I’d expect from the style, not very impressed with this.

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.
12 oz. bottle.
AROMA: Scents of citrus, hay, and banana
APPEARANCE: Pours a clear, golden-orange with a a tight, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly.
TASTE: Lightly sweet with a hint of bitterness. Flavors of orange peel and bread
PALATE: Medium bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Carbonation is average and finish is short and sweet.
OVERALL: Another ho-hum beer. There is nothing particularly great about it, nor is there anything particularly bad about it. Although, I found that as it warms it becomes a bit too sweet and sticky. Keep it cold and it maintains a nice balance.

Single bought at Liquor Shed.
It pours a clear light gold with an inch of foam and good lacing.
It smells of oranges, sweet and cracker malt.
Taste is of oranges, sweet malt, crackers, hints of pine which make this an easy drinker. Pretty enjoyable.

Herbal/Grassy aroma. Certainly lives up to the advertising. Tastes like a wheat beer with a twist that I assume comes from the helles and orange peels.

Bottle from the 6 lager pack. Medium orange amber, clear, thick head. Big orange blossom aroma, American citrus hops, light malt. Sweet, orangy, just slightly fake flavor. Bit of candy. Too sweet. Light, smooth body. Not bad, but no helles.

Pours clear deep gold into a Sam glass. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Sweet caramel and toffee aromas. Dry with bready caramel and biscuit upfront turning to mild earthy hops in the medium length finish.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a vibrant dark golden color with a large foamy orange white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was cracker, lemon and orange. The flavor was bitter and tart with orange, yeast and cracker. Medium length finish. Medium body.

bottle from Albertsons. Desperate to try something new, due to an empty beer fridge, I finally turned my attention to those neglected National macro "craft " beers that line the shelves. This one particularly caught my attention as it was a helles lager style I haven't seen much of here in the States since leaving Germany. I came in expecting to hate it and was actually quite surprised, it's crisp and clean, grainy and flavorful, not a perfect helles but damn close to being a decent helles. Much surprised that this output from Sam Adams.
