Bottle from La Torre del Luppolo, Pisa. Pours almost black with a small off-white head. Aroma has wonderful hoppy lead, with chocolate, vanilla, coffee, citrus and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium to full bodied, slight oily texture, soft to average carbonation. Really good, very enjoyable.

Tap at Punto. Shiny black with a thick, tan head. Citrusy nose, piny hops, chocolate, caramel, creamy. Maybe a touch of diacetyl. Sweet and creamy, very nice hops, pine, licorice, oily and a bit slick. Bitter finish. Tasty.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours clear, deep reddish brown with a creamy topping. The nose holds leathery semi-dark fruits, toasted wood, grainy bread. Medium sweet flavour with toasted toffee, dried berries, crackers, oily pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous in the finish, a little syrupy, with more gooey, ripe citrus. Not bad on the whole.

A deep dark IPA with a thin mocha head. In aroma, light chocolate and coffee with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. In mouth, loads of chocolate malt with loads of resinous floral hops, piney and pungent, grapefruit pulp, nice and complex. On tap at So Good!
