Draught at source: golden with white head. Aroma is grapefruit and barely any pine mellowed down west coast. Not very bitter. Fine.

Single from Whole Paycheck. Mojito low-ball at home. Week before the hurricane. Hazy, medium gold, weak but even soapy lace. Orange & herbal nose with a slight confectionery note. Fruity, slightly tropical, sorbet, strong bitter pine, aspirin. Off-dry, dusty texture, low but consistent froth. Surprisingly good.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a slightly hazy gold with an off white head. Aromas are of dank hay. Flavors are bitter orange and grapefruit.

On tap at the brewery. Almost clear orange with medium white head. Some citrus, light pine, caramel, tad sweet, malty backbone, bitterish finish.

12 oz can poured. Mostly clean and clear golden appearance, moderate fading foam head. A nice and balanced west coast IPA. Quite the bitter constant, with graperfruit like character. Peel linger. Overall a fun IPA, with constant aggressive grassy hops. Bold taste. Slightly juicy side to it late. Fun introduction to these guys for me for this brew.

Can, no visible date. almost clear gold with a white head that fades to a coat but then lasts. Fairly shy aroma of lemon, grapefruit, caramel popcorn, a little pine. The taste is whomping in comparison with somewhat herbal citrus and a piney bitter finish. The hops sit on nothing in particular but at least they're loud enough that I can't taste the popcorn. Crude and disjointed - but maybe just old, who knows.

Decent, a tad bready and lacking the oily, lengthy bitterness of a classic West Coast IPA, but the modest caramel sweetness goes well with the grapefruit-n-pinecone hop profile, and the fade does grow resinous, even if it shies away from bitter brutality.

Slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish off-white head with a very nice honey-coloured tint when held up to a light. Aroma of grass, light citrus, a dash of subtle and not assertive hops with a bit more grain and light sugars noticeable, mainly from caster sugar, but also some funk and odd yeast notes show through. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavours at first with a definite citrus and floral bite that shows almost more malt than hops. Only a touch of caster sugar and some funkier yeast add to the complexity of this one, which is largely straight-forward and mellow. Aftertaste shows the hop bite, but without much bitterness, only the malt and yeast flavours are pungent here with some noticeable herbal and grassy/musty/dry flavours here at the very end. Overall, a pretty sub-par IPA, but it isn't horrible...simply not worth searching out in a land full of much better beer - don't waste your time, unless you love IPAs and need to try all of them! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Greenville Beer Exchange in Greenville, South Carolina on 31-May-2018 for US$2,08 sampled at home in Washington on 10-August-2018.
