This is a collaboration with our wonderful friends Burning Sky brewery, brewed to celebrate 10 years of DEYA.
Our aim was to meld the worlds of beer and wine to find a perfectly balanced point between the two.
Pinotin grapes from our new friends at Blackbook Winery, underwent a carbonic
maceration to produce a full bodied, red wine base bursting with cranberries, strawberries and a touch of black pepper. We then washed the remaining pomace with barrel aged beer to extract more juice, fruity aromatics and structural tannins.
The resulting blend is a beautiful balance of these components - barrel aged beer, carbonic macerated wine and second use fruit.
