(Draught at Foeders, Amsterdam, 30 Aug 2019) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, hoppy nose with notes of coffee, citrus, grapefruit, mint and black rye bread. Malty, roasted, hoppy taste with coffee, chocolate, grapefruit, dark rye bread and a generous citric, piney bitterness. Almost full body, quite dry. Tasty and well made black IPA. Nice one.

Tap at Arendsnest, 12th Septmeber 18. Pours black and viscous, near tan head. Aroma is liquorice, dark roasted malts, taste is rich, bitter, roasty, liquorice, dark cocoa chocolate, really bitter finish. More of a good hoppy porter, than a BIPA, but a really nice one.

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, huge fizzy foamy light brown colored head that lasts for quite some time. Aroma is malts, some iron, brown malts. Taste malts, brown malts, again some iron, only a distant hint of hops, medium bitter. Decent body, firm and high carbonation. Disappointing, no a God black IPA in general imo, and i also expect more from this brewery.

Bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Dark reddish brown with beige head. Some flowers, citrus with lime and grapefruit, sweet malts, light sweet coffee, some spices too. It’s a bit all over the place, very aromatic but somehow it holds together. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied. Maybe if it was more bitter I’d enjoy it more...
