750ml bottle pours a murky, deep amber with a ring of white head. Nose has some caramelized root veg, caramel, toffee, vanilla, mild booze, malt, a little candlewax. Flavor has butterscotch, caramel, malt, vanilla, coconut. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Clear reddish amber beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of strawberry jam, sweet and sugary, bit of vanilla. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: sweet start, sugary, lots of vanilla, soft sour touch, some alcohol, almonds. Aftertaste: some alcohol, sugary, malty, sweet, vanilla, honey, nice, really nice!

Limited edition luxury beer with light beige, creamy head with surprisingly good retention; colour deep brownish amber, hazy. Strong fruity aroma, very perfumey and inviting, candied figs, marzipan, milk chocolate, coconut, honey, bourbon, white pepper, orange liqueur, gingerbread. Delicious exotic fruits in the mouth, sweet, banana liqueur and amaretto, very vinous, rich and spicy, yeasty, with very complex finish revealing a woody touch, port wine-like alcohol, citrussy hops and lingering sweetness, totally satisfying. The best Brooklyn beer I had so far and an excellent barley wine.

Almost no head, but a white rim, over red-amber beer, hazy. Beautiful Bourbon, new oak, vanilla, red wine. More bitter than expected, but still lots of caramel/toffee underneath the noble hops. Very fruity, and again red wine. Great Bourbon flavour, without becoming oppressive. Quite slick, oily MF; obviously well-bodied, low carbonation. Impressive Barley Wine. Bottled. Garrett’s beer brewed to celebrate his 20th anniversary, presented, and served by the man himself at a party I hosted - special stuff! Thanks Garrett. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, alcohol, malt, and candy sugar. The flavor is sweet with notes candy sugar, alcohol, malt, and some spices, leading to a dry and sweet finish. I bet this will age amazingly.

Bottle@Taphouse, Copenhagen (during Garrett Oliver visit) - amber coloured pour with off-white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, toasty, caramel, toffee, dried fruity and nutty, wooden nuances, some nice spices on the palate. Gorgeous.

Hazy copper with a small white head. Magnificent, complex aroma with malt, bread, toffee, fruit, vanilla, and fresh oak. Sweet, actually quite sweet, malty flavour, with a hint of sugar, some fruity notes, and nice oak.
