Dark brown body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and light sugars. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty flavours with some toffee and earth noticeable, along with a light hoppy flavour and hints of spices near the end. Aftertaste shows the roasty and some caramel notes along with some sugars, which are noticeable with a touch of spices; but fairly mild throughout. Overall, nice to try, but not the best beer for the style or worth bringing home - glad I drank it locally! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Beverage in Thornton, Colorado on 15-March-2016 for US$2,00 sampled later in the day on 15-March-2016 at my hotel in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Shared 12 oz. can. Best by 3/7/2017. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma with roast and spice. Taste follows nose with cacao, dark bread, nuts and faint chili pepper notes. Okay.

Pour is a brownish red with a small tan head. Aroma is what the can says I should be getting. A dry cacao with some chili paste without the heat. Flavor is watery and thin with cacao and chilies barely making an appearance. The aroma was fine but this turns into a boring brown ale real fast. If your going to make a beer with cacao an chili you better make them more pronounced than this.
