2022 can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep amber to brown with a finger of beige head that lingers. Great lacing down the glass. Toasted caramel, pine and orange zest on the nose. More of the same on the palate with toasted chestnut, earthy notes and more pine and citrus. Nutty toasted malt flavors pair nicely with the hops. Fairly balanced, but lingering piney bitterness but not overwhelming.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle shared at NYE, several years old. Hazy reddish brown colour. Frothy beige head. Aroma's: hoppy, caramel, slight oxidation. Retronasal: toasted bread, sweetish, roasted, bitterish, light oxidation. Flavour is moderate bitter and light sweet. Medium bodied. Quite bitter finish. Pretty good, despite the age.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a hazy dark reddish colour almost brown with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, piney citrus woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, bready malt, fruity, dry woody floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Pours a wonderful deep brownish red from a bottle, nice light tan head with beautiful lacing. Aroma is piney with a faint lemon/orange, flavor is similar built over a fine caramel sweetness. Very well-balanced, an excellent representative for the style, which I feel is not often done well. Very good beer.
