Can @ Beer Karma, Brooklyn (Mar 2024). Pours opaque dark brown with a foamy tan head, dark chocolate aroma, low carbonation, bitter mocha taste with cocoa nibs, smooth thin body, long mocha finish with cocoa aftertaste. Very smooth and tasty.

Draught at Zeezicht Breda. Opaque black color, off-white to beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, lightly grainy, dark malts, malty bitters and quite earthy. Nonetheless quite alright.

Pours a near black from a can. Rich roasty aroma, toasted brown bread, fruity esters (dark cherry) and chocolate. Similar flavors. Well balanced, initial sweetness turns dry, not too big. Very good beer.

04-07-21. Black, with a light tan head. Smell is traditional roasty, light coffee. Creamy mouthfeel, but a bit thin in the aftertaste. Sharp carbonation. Taste is malty and roasty, with some good coffee, and a bitter finish. Bit metallic. Oldschool.

Can at a tasting with the boys. Medium body, medium carbonation. Mostly roasty, moderate burnt coffeeish maltiness. Clean good stout, slightly harsh, light astringency present. Good but not great.
