We pulled the beer after 9 months and 10 days. The resulting stout has those cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking spices the barrels are famous for, with a touch of vanilla and whiskey as well as strong wood flavors from the barrel.
This is our first release of a beer aged in Amburana barrels. Amburana wood, sometimes called "Brazilian oak," is a hardwood native to South America, particularly Brazil, known for its unique flavor profile and aroma.

Leggy, opaque black with some sudsy beige head. Nose has big malt and and vanilla and cinnamon. Cinnamon roll. Flavor is a bit more simple and sweet. Some weird tobacco arrives. Baking spice still there. Full, sticky but a but drier than the base. Is that the baking spice? OK. 8 9 7.5 8 8
